UniTOX
Electrochemistry and Toxicity Analyzer
SciTOX has designed an innovative single-sample analyzer for developing research applications in electrochemistry and toxicity measurement.
Designed for Universities and teaching laboratories, the UniTOX utilizes an innovative, patented whole-cell biosensor and simple, inexpensive reagents to measure the overall electrochemical effect in a sample. Various types of cells, reagents, temperatures, and other method components can be modified as needed for method development and toxicological applications.
Customers that might make particular use of this product would include University Environmental Science and Engineering departments, Biotech or Physiology departments, and Chemistry departments.
Additionally, the UniTOX provides chemists with a variety of electrode conditioning processes. In many analyses electrodes foul, requiring some type of conditioning procedure. With the UniTOX, chemists are able to vary electrical voltage and current, as well as the application of different waveforms. Also included is a simple mechanical electrode polishing system, for applications that may require it.
The touchscreen operation is designed to allow users to easily proceed through a method development or analysis. Each step of the sample preparation, reagent preparation, calibration, and analysis are defined, and then shown on screen. An accompanying photo illustrates each step.
A Revolution for Research and Teaching Laboratories
